Love the sturdy yet lightweight quality, no issues with the belt drive so far. Only criticism is that for beginners it's a rather stretched/bent-over position on the bike compared to other children's bikes. Took our son a while to get used to it. The good news is that you could easily change the stem due to the standard 1 1/8" norm...

The Bike is well designed. We first had the Belter 14, now the Belter 16. Downside to the Belt is, that it is hard to adjust. The Belter 14 makes creaking noises – online support is available, but in the end not helpful because they don't have a solution (even though the Belter 16 does not make any noise like that).
The tires appear to be of rather poor quality. After only one year of occasional street use (always stored indoor, always the right air pressure, no abuse at all) the tire has long cracks. So overall the bike is good, but there is room for improvement, considering the price.

You get what you pay for - this bike is the highest quality kids' bike that I have found. I was unable to locate the "blemish" on the factory second. My (4) year old rode the bike the first day and the handbrakes are easily actuated. I highly recommend this bike!
