Seeker 20

Seek and ye shall find.

The Seeker 20 is built for broadening horizons. A massive. market leading 11-42 tooth cassette gives the extra gearing needed to make light work of any hills, and a clutch equipped mech to tension the chain to keep it in place on the rough, cutting ‘chain slap’ and the risk of the chain unshipping completely. With a short stay geometry optimised for manoeuvrability and performance controls from Ritchey, you can rest assured your progress is not going to be hampered by even the most fiendish of single track either, as you look to go further and further afield.

A lightweight rigid fork running bump soaking 2.25" balloon mud tyres provides all the cushioning a young adventurer needs and saves a full 1kg on the weight of a suspension fork. That's your beans, bacon and camping stove right there. It's super durable too, it saves you the servicing of a shock and, as it's made from super strong aluminium, it's just as robust when those inevitable drops and crashes come along.

Rammed with high end features such Samox narrow Q factor direct mount cranks, narrow wide chainring, external cup bottom bracket, Promax hydraulic disc brakes, 160mm rotors for better modulation - the bike is designed to go the distance with the minimum of fuss, whatever that distance may be.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS:

Your bike will arrive carefully packaged and boxed with the rear wheel attached. The front wheel will need attaching using the skewer supplied. The handlebar will be ziptied to the top tube, simply remove the bars and all packaging and attach to the stem. Add the saddle and adjust to the required height. Then simply add the pedals. Please retain your manual.

Seeker 20 review

Great bike my daughter has taken to it really well after stepping up from the Belter. Just a shame the shifter is so difficult to use. I am going to upgrade it to a Sram and see if that helps it seems a common occurrence on this model. Shame this hasnt been picked up on and a better quality gear shifter used as my daughter cannot shift it up.

Early Rider®

Hi Stuart, thanks for your feedback. We are in the process of changing the derailleur to remove the clutch which should make it around 40% easier to operate. You can remove the clutch from the mech in its current form if you are comfortable tinkering. We're working on the improvements!

Good bike, but…….

we already have 4 early rider bikes in use and this is the first with gear Shift. The bike is perfectly equipped but there is a small blemish. Namely the operating forces of the box four shifter are simply too high for 5-year-old children's hands.

I would wish for a slightly easier-to-use a SRAM SX, which I am now converting to.

EarlyRider 4ever

Great Bike with outstanding quality.

This is tool #4 in line. After the ER Banzai, Belter in 14“ Seeker in 16“ I did a lot of research looking for alternatives on the growing market for little shredders. I ended up with the purchase of the Seeker 20“. Considering weight, geometry and also durabilty and beauty of the clearcoated aluminium frame, this is by far the top bike on the list.

5+ stars with modified shifting.

Great bike for Kids. Lightweight and very well equipped.

I think this bike is a very good bike for kids. It's unisex and the aluminum finish looks great. Also easy to clean. Like the components on the bike. They feel premium . My daughter can easily change gears and can now tackle more steep hills. The hidraulic brakes are major plus. Her hands are more relaxed during a long decent. I compared it to other manufacturers and although this one is a bit more expensive (not by that much ) it's definitely worth it.

The perfect kids bike!

Got it for my 5 1/2 yr old. He was advanced beyond his starter bike and this was the perfect solution. Great first “gear bike” because it’s light and well built. I also like that it’s gender neutral so that it’s easy to pass down to younger siblings, cousins, friends etc.

super rad

Great bike with minor things to consider

The bike itself is great and of good quality, just a few things that should be considered on a bike like this:

- the cable leads pop out very easily and the cables come loose, can be fixed with a zip tie but should not happen at a bike in this price range

- the gear shifter is super hard for kids hands, needs a lot of power to change gears at a point where they sometimes have to focus on not crashing because they are already too slow. maybe a grip shift like other bikes would be favorable

- the super low gear is a good thing but it is nearly beyond reach for the back derailleur, not really the smoothest shifting process. A bit smaller would probably do as well.
