Lightweight aluminium, beautifully crafted
The Charger is handcrafted from 6061 grade aluminium. And it's not just the parts you can see, we swap more steel and plastic for aluminium than anyone else.
Aluminium has one of the highest strength-to-weight ratios of any metals. It's corrosion resistant and has a flexibility that makes it a pleasure to ride. It's also 100% recyclable. All of which makes our Charger and Big Foot models the best for your kids and for all those they're handed down to.

Roll model
The Charger specs market leading aluminium rims and hubs to save weight and high ABEC grade sealed cartridge bearings to minimise weight and rolling resistance.
By specifying such high grade wheel sets, we are able to justify investing weight in tyres that provide the safety and performance that make all the difference, without handing them a weight penalty.

Tread carefully
The Charger runs fast rolling 2.0” wide tyres to give 2-4 year olds the stability they need to learn, the air volume they need for comfort and the grip to tackle mixed terrain, confidently, even in the rain. Because there’s no such thing as the wrong weather. Only the wrong bike.

The Charger features an anatomically designed Ritchey bar and stem combo forged from super light, super strong aluminium. And the internal cable routing isn’t just a cool feature. It allows you to upgrade The Charger to a brake controlled bike as they progress. Sold separately, the light pull, short reach, Tektro rear brake upgrade kit ensures brake control comes exactly when the time is right.

Tom Ritchey, its indefatigable president and lead designer, is one of the pioneers credited with the invention of mountain biking, amongst other innovations. The best balance bike money can buy!
After months of research on the perfect balance bike for our not-so-little almost 2 year old, we decided on the charger 12 for its sleek looks, high end parts and for their no-nonsense approach to kids bikes design. We were not disappointed. Our little boy took to the bike instantly and would not get off it! A Christmas present that has been used everyday since, in muddy puddles, at the park, even to the shops!
We thought the charger would be better in comparison to the Bigfoot due to the lighter and faster rolling tyres as well as the lack of a brake which could be a distraction, although a brake upgrade will be needed soon!
Brilliant bike, highly recommended!

Great for the start
It looks good and sturdy. My little daughter was definitely impressed and it’s making her first steps on it. She isn’t 2 years old yet so she gets tired very fast but just right for the start. I suppose in a couple of months she will be rolling everywhere with it.

Toddler and I are in love
She loved it as soon as she saw it, I don't know if early rider intended for a two year old to instantly love their design, but she did. As far as for me, the quality is superb and it makes other bikes look like cheap toys. If you're in it for the photo opportunities which will last a lifetime get this, otherwise a cheap toy bike might do the job, but then again cheap toy bikes don't have pneumatic wheels like this does.... You decide.

Work of art
I purchased this for my son some time ago, he took a while to start using it as he probably wasn't ready, in that time I thought about just mounting it on a wall as it's a beautifully designed and made bike, the boy eventually got used to it and rides everywhere now, love it
