My 3 year old son's been on a balance bike since he could walk an we figured it was about time to pedal. We got a 12" bike of an other manufacturer around which unfortunately did not fit due to a too high seat position.
So, when to buy a new bike, the difference of fun in riding a valuable bike can make, I looked for such and found EarlyRider in no time.
It turned out my boy just hit the min. leg length required for the belter/seeker 14. For the black saddle, the pedals and dirt track riding options we choose the seeker.
With his balance bike experience he managed to start and pedal alone within one weekend. The use of the handbrakes where no trouble at all (to avoid stoppies you might want so reset the front brake to lower force). With some practice we lifted the seat position so he can pedal more effective and after 10 days went to our local pump track the first time.
Pro: fast delivery, easy assembly, nice mini platform pedals, riding dirt tracks for extra fun, brake levers adjustable for small hands
Con: it might seem pricy but you truly get what you pay.

My 3 year old pretty much went straight from his balance bike to peddling on this. Really well made, lightweight and looks lovely. Would definitely recommend.
Coming from a Bigfoot 12 (2,5 years toddler) just learning pedaling. Factory Second only on paper, I really can't find any scratch or defect on it. On of the lightest 14" on the market (very important for a 12 kgs boy) with a stunning quality on each piece. Highly recommended. Great value on customer support and service.

Absolutely fantastic bit of kit, my 4 year old has been on a balance bike since he was around 2 years old and mastered it to the point he didn't want to leave it (Couldn't understand why he needed pedals). We tried some cheaper bikes and he never took to them, never felt solid on it and ditched them within minutes.
I read good things about the seeker 14 and got hold of one. Within an hour he's away, feels at one with the bike and went full send. Super impressed, the balance of the bike and the light weight nature of it make it a perfect and has to be considered as the only option for first riders.
He doesn't want to put it down now and I couldn't be happier so thank you for making such a good range of bikes, when my son outgrows the 14 I'll be putting him up a size for sure. 👍🏼💪🏼
Really well made bike. And looks awesome. I do hope my 4 year old will soon start to use it (he still doesn't want to leave his balance bike behind)

After a couple of months of groundwork on a balance bike with rear wheel hand brake, my son were really longing for a "pedal" bike. I swept the market for a suitable bike and realized the good ones are really expensive. Like most high quality bikes as well as kids products. Finally opting for the, possibly, most expensive one of its size, the Early Rider Seeker 14. It is indeed very expensive, but in my opinion it it is worth it. Quality seems high, so we have high expectations for coming use.
So, in terms of learning to ride the bike it was absolutely extraordinary. It took my son less than two minutes (!!) to pedal away on his own with a little initial push to get it started. After another twenty minutes he also mastered to start off by himself and make use of the additional front wheel hand brake. On the first day of use he rode more than 10 km, maybe even 15 km.
Kid's length is 103 cm and inseam 42.5 cm so size-wise it was really in between Seeker 14 (from 37) and 16 (from 45) so we chose size 14. So far the combo of gearing, leg strength and saddle height makes it difficult ride uphill or at heavier grass. That will eventually be easier when legs get stronger and we dare to move the saddle up even more. On the downside, it will probably be outgrown this season, but the younger sister will then be ready to give it a go.
Currently, the second hand value for well maintained pieces seems high, so hopefully we'll be able to get some money back on the purchase, but that…
