Belter 20
Belter 20

Turn heads as well as corners.

The Belter 20 elevates the ride to school to a whole new level as style meets functionality. An internal geared hub means no maintenance and if your kids have a tendency to 'rest' their bike on the pavement, there's no fragile derailleur to put them out of action. The Sturmey hub is remarkably smooth too and with 4 gears inside its bombproof shell, it goes as well as it looks. No mech, no greasy cogs just beautiful clean lines and a super clean ride.

A characteristically lightweight build, comfortable geometry and effortless belt drive it makes light work of those backpack laded rides to school. And, when it comes to bikeability, the custom Ritchey controls will certainly provide a much appreciated level of confidence. This bike is about looking great and feeling great.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS:

Your bike will arrive carefully packaged and boxed with the rear wheel attached. The front wheel will need attaching using the bolts supplied and front brake re-engaged. The handlebar will be ziptied to the top tube, simply remove the bars and all packaging and attach to the stem. Add the saddle and adjust to the required height. Then simply add the pedals. Please retain your manual.

Great Bike, easy to assemble, easy to ride

My son was very happy. After his Belter 16 he switched to his new Belter 20 without any problems. He is 5 years old and the bike fits perfect.

Hammer geiles Fahrrad…!!!

Difficult gears

I bought this bike for my 6 year old grandson but he was unable to change gear when riding along as he had to use both hands when changing down. He had to stop to change down the gears. I was surprised how stiff the gears were. I asked the Early rider for advice but the did not get back to me and looking at comments on the internet this was a common problem.

Early Rider®

Hey Pat, it was lovely to meet you all. We have been emailing about your gears - did the oil do the trick? If not we could send a trigger shifter to see if that is easier for your grandson. Drop us a line if you'd like this option.

Good quality bike but…

Great bike, easy to assemble, very light but like the other said, the pedals have very sharp edges and the gear shift is very hard for 6 year old kids. My daughter needs both hands to go from 4 to 1.

Pedals & Shifter

The Bike is sturdy & all.

1 major issue is the Shifter. It cannot be used by a 6 year old. Barely by an 8 year old kid.

2nd smaller issue: the pedals are made by metal. They get scratched by the asphalt. Then, the pedals get small aluminium spikes that cuts the skin.

I immediately changed the pedals to plastic ones.

Great BIKE

Hi, since our first Belter 16 we and especially our son became great fans of the bikes. Therefore we choice as a successor the Belter 20, which also great. To switch gears is a little hard, we hope this will get better. Only real concern was that the hub gear made pretty weird sounds. As we did not want to send it back we decided to go to an bike repair shop. They adjusted and tuned the setting of the hub gear. Therefore a small deduction.
